I was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1982. After finishing my Law degree in a Colombian University (Universidad Santo Tomas) I decided to pursue M.Sc. Environmental Governance (Albert Ludwig’s University) in Freiburg, Germany). With a multidisciplinary profile I am interested in designing policy tools for environmental regulation to promote collective goods.

In the past I have being invited as guest student to the
Center for Adaptive Behavior and Cognition (Max Plank Institute for Human Development, Berlin), and at the Summer School of the International Max Planck Research School on adapting Behavior to a Fundamentally Uncertain World. (Max Planck Institute for Economic research, Jena). During this experience I gained insight on the theory of mind and experimental methods in economics and cognitive psychology.

During 2010 I was a guest researcher at the Helmholz Center for Environmental Research and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. There I focused my research interest on sustainability and behavioral change issues.

Since April 2011 I became Technical Advisor at Proyecto ECOLEGIOS/ GIZ in Peru. The project aims to promote ecoefficiency in 20 emblematic public schools in Peru. Through an innovative action learning methodology, the project will implement participatory methods based on the state of the art in pedagogy, behavioral and environmental sciences to achieve a strong reduction in water and electricity consumption, while also improving the management of solid waste.

As a GIZ Technical Advisor, I am working in close cooperation with the Ministries of Environment and Education of Peru, also involving the private sector in the improvement of the students learning experiences and also the efficiency of the infrastructure available in the participant public schools
